Doug Bradley Trucking Website Design
Our first client requesting a website refresh was DBTI, a midsized trucking company based out of Salina, Kansas. The challenge here was to modernize the company website without losing the friendly, approachable vibe the leadership has worked hard to cultivate.
The user goal we were focused on was to get prospective drivers to find the terminal (or terminals) in their hiring area. DBTI offers specific job listings, with different home time and lane options, for each terminal. We needed to figure out a user flow that would allow job seekers to enter their zip code, find the terminal options available to them, and let them know if there are positions available. We decided to add a waitlist for drivers who are in a terminal area without current job openings.
One piece the owners of DBTI wanted to include on the terminal pages was where in the country the drivers would be hauling, and at what frequency. Home time is very important to some drivers, and they want to know how far from home they will have to drive and how long they will be out on the road. I designed this color coded map and chart to illustrate the data.
